Shelah Kay Nickell March 15, 1943 - February 25, 2011 Shelah Kay Nickell, 67, of Grand Avenue, died at 12:10 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at her home. Mrs. Nickell retired from Muscatatuck State Developmental Center after more than 20 years of service. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Born in Milan March 15, 1943, Mrs. Nickell was the daughter of William Hunter and Frances L. (Peters) Smith. She is survived by sons, Tim (Jenny Sizemore) Nickell of Columbus, Dwight (Mary) Nickell of Columbus and Brian (Anita) Nickell of Columbus; grandchildren, Chris, Shawn and Tony Nickell, Cherokee Hunt, Sarah and Timmy Nickell, Angel and Maria Sizemore, Isaiah Hadley and Heidi Cooley; great-grandchildren, Cameron Hadley, Austin and Joslyn Soto and Tanner and Taylor Hadley; brothers, Butch (Corine) Hunter of Rising Sun and Johny Hunter of Indiana; and her stepfather, Ross Smith of Rising Sun.
