MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: Columbus Salvation Army Sherri Rae Bloom Benningfield, 52, of Waycross Drive, died at 9:59 a.m. January 28, 2015, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Survivors include her husband, Danny E. Benningfield of Columbus; sons, Danny R. Benningfield, Jonathan Benningfield and Anthony Benningfield, all of Owensboro, KY; daughters, Heather Benningfield and Lauren Benningfield, both of Owensboro; brother, David (Melvina) Bloom of Seymour; sisters, Sheila (Don) Wilson of Medora, Brenda Moore of Seymour and Jane (Rick) Harburger of Crothersville; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Viginia Hatfield Bloom; and a sister, Sue Proffit

Dear Benningfield Family: It breaks our hearts when death separates us from the ones we love no matter how young or old they happen to be. We are reminded in the Bible that God sees our pain and sorrow and has promised that soon death will be no more.(Revelation 21:4) He will heal our broken hearts by resurrecting our precious loved ones to life again.(John 5:28,29) I hope in the days ahead as you reflect on the life of Sherri, and the beautiful memories left behind, that you will find much comfort in God’s promises to us for the near future. I am so sorry for your loss.
I am so sorry for your loss Danny it was so great to get to see you guys in Golden Correll last Saturday not knowing time was cut so short. You will be in my prayers.
