Shirley A. Lawver, 62, of Columbus, Ind., died at 3:18 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2007, at her home.
Shirley was retired from Cosco Inc. after 15 years of service. She enjoyed attending church, where she volunteered her time working in the kitchen during fund raisers. She also enjoyed traveling, and loving spending time with her family. She enjoyed being with people, and she never met a stranger. Shirley was of Pentecostal faith.
Mrs. Lawver was born Sept. 2, 1944, in Bartholomew County, Ind., the daughter of John and Mary Piper.
Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Barringer of Columbus, Ind.; sons, Tony Goddard of Columbus, Ind. and Daniel Goddard of Edinburgh, Ind.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Morris Piper of Elizabethtown, Ind.; and a sister, Mary Cathy Johnson of Columbus, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandchild; and a brother, David Piper.
Funeral Information
VISITATION: Monday, July 30, 2007 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the Jewell - Rittman Family Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: The funeral will be Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Linda White officiating.
BURIAL: Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
