Shirley Blanche Satterfield, 78, of North National Road, died at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, at Columbus Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Satterfield was a graduate of Clarksburg High School and attended Frankfort Pilgrim Holiness School. She was affiliated with Flintwood Wesleyan Church, loved to read, decorate, work puzzles and was a Scrabble champion.
Born in Clarksburg Sept. 4, 1932, Mrs. Satterfield was the daughter of Hanley and Barbara Harden Johnson. She married Alger Eugene Satterfield March 25, 1950. He survives.
Mrs. Satterfield is also survived by a son, William Eugene (Terri) Satterfield of Hartsville; daughters, Constance (William) Ackeret of Pensacola, FL, Deborah Satterfield of Columbus, and Ellen Rose Satterfield of Columbus; grandchildren, M. Shane Satterfield, Leah Boyer, Lindsay Boyer, Benjamin J. Hammer, Kathryn Rose Bond, Christopher Wolf, Ashley Wolf, Jesse Wade and Rachael Badger; five great-grandchildren; and sisters, Florence Eckart of Amboy, IN, Ada Mae (Rev. Ernest) Batman of Frankfort, IN, and Helen Jackson of Greensburg.
Funeral Information
FUNERAL: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Ocotber 29, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Revs. Steve Eckart and Ernest Batman officiating.
CALLING: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Friday.
BURIAL: Clarksburg Cemetery.
Donations Information
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
