Stacy was a remarkable woman who was full of life and touched me with her spirit. Working with at Duke was a blessing and I learned much from her. I loved her and looked up to as if she was my older sister. She told me a few weeks ago she often hid the ladies room air freshener in the old paper towel holder. The two cans are still there. I will continue to keep the family in my thoughts and prayers.
My heart is broken. Stacy was my oldest friend. There is so many memories of slumber parties, snow ice cream, homemade ice cream. Late nights at Taco Bell with her and Robert on Friday nights. Band, football games, the big green truck, crafts and mustangs. Life will never be the same. I loved you my friend ❤️
My name is Elisa Marshall and I am the Associate Relations Specialist at Business Control Systems, LP, Stacy’s employer. Stacy had been with us since 2011 and I worked very closely with her. She was always polite, helpful, professional, reliable and patient. She did a wonderful job managing her team and she was a real asset to BCS and Duke. Learning of her sudden passing was devastating she will be immensely missed.
My name is Joyce Dominguez, I worked with and for Stacy at Duke the last 4 ½ years. She hired me in and taught me so much, even though she was much younger than me. I told her that I loved her like a little sister. I was always telling her that I was a “rebel” and so we would clash at times and that she was a “little firecracker” that would quickly blow up, but then burn out just as fast and never hold a grudge. We shared many things personal and work related. I never dreamed of her leaving before me. I was planning to retire in the near future and thought she would still be here in the drafting group “kicking butt” and showing the new folks the ropes. She was such a hard worker with so much, experience, talent, and wisdom for her young age. She made us laugh! She could get things done quick! I looked up to her as a boss, sister, friend. I pray for Robert, Clayton, Kaylee, Monster and all her remaining family and loved ones. She gave so much and took care of us all, I guess she just got tired. Thank you, Stacy for everything, RIP, my friend, I love you and miss you so much already!

My prayers to the family. I was a co-worker in North Carolina. Though I never met Stacy, I had occasion to speak with her on several occasions. I can recall calling concerned when Indiana was hit with bad weather with tornados and the more recent flooding. Stacy always sounded so confident and strong in the face of such devastating events. I always enjoyed talking with her and appreciated her help and assistance. I was shocked and deeply saddened when I learned of her sudden passing. I will hold her family in my thoughts and prayers. With much sympathy, Catherine Lovelace.
