  1. There are no words that I can say to describe the heartache I feel for all of you right now, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers today and always.

  2. I am overwhelmed with memories of this bright, funny, active boy.I’ll never forget Stephan as a little boy sitting in the window of his room calling “Sanctuary, sanctuary!” after seeing “The Hunchback of Notre Dame.” Although the end of his life was challenging, he now has truly found his sanctuary. He will always be in my heart.

  3. Susanne and family:My prayers are with you all. It has been a long battle, one we have fought in our hearts with you. Know Susanne we are still here to help you all we can. God Bless you and help you heal.

  4. So sorry for your loss. Know that I continue to pray for you and that Stephan is looking out for you too. Love Theresa A Uhlenhake

  5. Sorry for your loss. we are glad to have known stephan. he was a good friend and gamer.we will miss him.

  6. Phil,Susanne, and PJ, There are no words to convey how sorry we are for your loss. May God hold you all especially close, and give your family comfort. Larry and Laurie Rude and family

  9. Although we do not know each other I am praying for you at this time. I am from the area, but live in another state, and read about your son on line Journal. Just from the briefness of his obit, I realize what a special and fine young man he was. May you sense the presence of our Heavenly Father embracing you as you heal.

  10. Susanne and Phil, I am so terribly sorry for you and your family. I can only imagine how much you and Phil have suffered during the past four months. My heart broke a couple of weeks ago when Phil told me he would take Stephan’s place if he could. Please take solace that he’s no longer in pain and looking down at you always. Tony Lennen

  11. I didn’t know Stephan very well, but I remember him from high school. He was such a happy guy, very sweet and funny. He was never afraid to be himself. It makes me very sad to know that there is one less person like that in the world today.

  12. Be ever grateful for the years of togetherness your family enjoyed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you
