Steven A. Boone, 74, of Columbus, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Willow Crossing. He was born on November 1, 1950, in Palos Hills, Illinois to the late Harry Boone and Grace VanDrunen Boone. He married Katerine Perry Boone on December 1, 1974.
Steven was a Vietnam veteran for the United States Army before going to work at Exclon Electric Utility where he retired from in 1997. He was a member of the St. Bartholomew’s Catholic Church in Columbus, Indiana, and in his free time he enjoyed spending time with family and going fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine; daughter, Samantha (Justin) Sublette; brother, Ken (Peggy) Boone; sister, Delores (Jerry) Hoogewerf; and several nieces, nephews, and their children.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Grace Boone.
A memorial mass will be held at 11 AM, on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at St. Bartholomew’s Catholic Church with Father Chris Wadelton officiating the service. Visitation will be held on hour prior to the service. In keeping with the family’s wishes, cremation was chosen.
Those wishing may make memorial donations through the funeral home to Wounded Warriors, or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
