Steven Lynn Chandler

Steven Lynn Chandler Jr., 50, of Edinburgh, died at 8:43p.m. on August 13, 2025 at Franklin Meadows surrounded by his family. Steven was born on June 12, 1975 in Columbus, the son of the late Steven Lynn Chandler Sr. and Robert Jeanne (Stroupe) Chandler. He married Shelly Renee Nolting on July 27, 1998. Steven was a gifted musician, skilled on guitar and several other instruments, and shared his talents through performances with his band. His love for music was as wide as his talents, ranging from the hard rock of Ozzy Osbourne to the southern rhythms of Charlie Daniels. Beyond music, he enjoyed working on cars, drawing, and designing irrigation and landscaping projects. Handy and resourceful, he could build anything from shelves and doors to entire walls, always taking pride in his work. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family. The memorial service will be at 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2025 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with daughter Kayla Chandler officiating. Calling will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. In honoring Steven’s request, cremation was chosen. Survivors include his wife, Shelly Chandler; son, Benton Chandler; daughters, Hailea Chandler, Symantha Chandler, and Kayla Chandler; grandchild, Alex Chandler; and wonderful little bitty pitty, Lizzy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Steven Sr. and Roberta Chandler. Those wishing may make a memorial contribution to Anew Hospice.
