Sue Ann Daum March 04, 1938 - June 05, 2007 Sue Ann Nehrt Daum, 69, of Fairfax Drive died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Mrs. Daum was a 1956 graduate of Columbus High School, earned a bachelors degree in 1971 and a masters degree in 1976, both at Indiana University. She taught with the Southwestern School Corp. from 1966 until 1971 before teaching with the Flat Rock-Hawcreek School Corp. for 35 years, the past 23 years as a first- grade teacher at Cross Cliff Elementary School. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Indiana State Teachers Association and Zonta International. She loved animals, especially her dog Peekie, and her hobbies included traveling, reading religious materials and studying scripture. Born in Seymour March 4, 1938, Mrs. Daum was the daughter of Horace Louis and Cordia E. Graff Nehrt. She married Ronnie Daum in March 1,1964. He preceded her in death in August 1971. She is survived by a brother, Wayne Louis (Maria) Nehrt of Columbus; sisters, Marian L. (Duane) Miller and Sharon K. Semer, both of Columbus; nieces and nephews, Sarah (Andrew) Nuxoll of Ann Arbor, Mich., Nathan Louis Nehrt of Bloomington, Michael (Beth) Miller of Columbus, Deanna (Nigel) Russell of Fishers, Larry D. Simpson of Columbus and Brian L. Semer of Columbus; and eight great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace Louis and Cordia E. Nehrt. Funeral Information A Celebration of Sue Ann's life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, 3300 Fairlawn Drive, with the Rev. Jon Carlstrom officiating. Calling will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Donations Information Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
