Susan Isabella Washburn

Susan Washburn, 78, of Washington, Indiana, formerly of Greensburg, passed away on February 7, 2023, in Evansville, Indiana. She was born December 11, 1944, in Greensburg, the daughter of Roy and Marie Bishop Wilson. Susan grew up in Greensburg, where she attended school and married Roby “Mike” Washburn. They were united in marriage on May 12, 1962. Mike passed away on December 24, 2022. Susan worked at the Holiday Inn as a housekeeper, Owens Security, and was a seamstress for the Roviar Manufacturing Company. Susan enjoyed crotchet work, traveling to San Francisco, and fishing. She was a member of The Church on the Way in Washington. Funeral services will be held at Noon on Friday, February 10, 2022, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Boston officiating. Calling will be held between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Susan to the American Heart Association. Susan was preceded in death by her husband Roby in 2022; brothers, Leonard and Edward Newman; and half-sister Katharine Schoentrup.
