Tammy C. Wise July 26, 1963 - December 20, 2010 Tammy C. Wise, 47, of Gemstone Drive, died at 10 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at Silver Oaks Health Campus. Tammy was previously employed by Jerry Walters at Medicab Company, where she was in management. She also was employed by Cummins Engine Company for several years. She was an avid IU fan and loved watching soap operas and spending time with her family, especially during Christmas. She attended Columbus General Baptist Church. Born in Columbus July 26, 1963, Mrs. Wise was the daughter of Charles and Carolyn Grissom Compton. She married Bill W. Wise Sept. 2, 1989. He survives. Other survivors include her mother, of Columbus; a son, Shane Wise of Columbus; a brother, Mike (Jan) Compton of Columbus; sisters, Melissa (Dwight) Jordan of Columbus, Jenny Harrison of Columbus and Bernice Fields of Columbus; and nieces and nephews, Carolyn Jordan, Bryan Jordan, Autumn Compton, Login Compton, Brittney Davidson, Shelby Gorbett, Ethan Compton and David Allen Compton. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Davey Compton. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2010 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Fields and Norman Love officiating. CALLING: 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until service time Monday. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery. Donations Information In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Tammy Wise Funeral Fund.
