Teresa Fields Beavers, 53, of Columbus, passed away at 3:04 a.m., December 29, 2018 at Columbus Regional Hospital. Teresa was born February 6, 1965 in Columbus, the daughter of Lonnie L. and Ruth F. Williams Fields. She married Billy D. Beavers who proceeded her in death. Teresa was a member of Lowell General Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, reading, fishing and painting ceramics. She loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her son Devin. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday January 12, 2019 at Lowell General Baptist Church with Rev. Glenn Poynter & Rev. Ronnie Hampton officiating. Calling will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of services Saturday. Memorials may be made to Love Chapel. Survivors include her son Devin Ponder of Columbus; sisters Juanita (Jack) Abernathy of Elizabethtown, Donita Hoffman of Columbus, and Becky (Douglas) Poindexter of Glasgow, Kentucky; brothers William (Sandra) Fields and Paul Fields, both of Glasgow, Kentucky; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Billy; as well as her brothers Steve O. and Franklin Fields.
