March 15, 1947 ~ February 2, 2026

Terry Lon Griner, 78, of Grammer, died on February 2, 2026 at 7:30 a.m. in the comfort of his home. Terry was born March 15, 1947 in Columbus, Indiana, the son of the late Alonzo Griner and Edna (Zuschlag) Griner.

Terry was a proud member of the Golden Eagles and the National Rifle Association, and found peace in nature through gardening, long walks in the woods, and exploring the outdoors. With a true green thumb, he took pride in growing and caring for the land around him. An avid hunter and fisherman, he cherished time spent in the great outdoors.

Known as the hardest-working person his family ever knew, Terry never missed a day of work and always made sure his loved ones were provided for. He had a gift for making others laugh and bringing light into every room. Dependable and selfless, he was always there when you needed him most, offering support, kindness, and unwavering love.

A visitation will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Jewell Rittman Funeral Service and Crematory. In honoring Terry’s wishes, cremation was chosen.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his children, Kyle Turner, Jessica Vincent, and Ericka Turner, all of Columbus; brothers, Gary Griner of Batesville, Indiana and Samual Griner of Greenfield, Indiana; sisters, Elaine Gardner of Columbus and Evelyn Addicott of West Middlesex, Pennsylvania; and grandchildren, Kaleb Hyer, Lyra Tyree, and Kori Vincent.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo and Edna Griner; brother, Steve Griner; and sisters, Glenda Pappas, Nancy Vincent, and Glorida Sanders.

Services were entrusted to Jewell Rittman Funeral Service and Crematory.
