Thelma I. Fife September 09, 1939 - July 14, 2007 Thelma I. Fife, 67, of North Vernon, Ind., died at 4:38 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2007, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Thelma lived her early life in Mississippi as well as living in Columbus before moving to Jennings County in 1985. She enjoyed flower gardens, hummingbirds, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Bethel Holiness Church. Mrs. Fife was born September 9, 1939 in Bruce, Miss., the daughter of Cecil C. and Edna Ruth Jennings Stone. She married Jerry M. Fife Sr. on March 12, 1971. Survivors include sons, Jerry M. Fife Jr. of Clifford, Ind., and John P. Fife Sr. of Columbus, Ind.; daughters, Ruthie J. Malone of Elizabethtown, Ind., Cherrie D. Wilkerson of North Vernon, Ind., and Linda D. Bevers of San Banina, Texas; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Bud Stone of Sorento, La., and Jessie Stone of Bruce, Miss.; and sisters, Laura Jean Stone of Redwood, Miss., Mary Lou Schneider of Natches, Miss., and Janes Davidson and Hazel Stone, both of Vicksburg, Miss. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and two sisters. Funeral Information FUNERAL: Will be Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, with the Rev. Glenn Poynter officiating. VISITATION: Will be Tuesday, July 17, 2007, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. BURIAL: Will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
