Thelma L. Billings, 70, of Columbus, passed away Friday, April 2, 2021 at her home. Thelma was born in Austin, IN on March 28, 1951 to Paul Helton and Martha Little Helton. She married Larry J. Billings on February 16, 1968.
Thelma took great pride in being a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and watching the game show network. Her greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Hurt officiating. Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. until service time on Thursday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Come as You Are Ministries through the funeral home.
Survivors include her son, Jeffrey Alan (Katie) Billings of Nashville, IN; a daughter, Kimberly E. Brown of Port Charlotte, FL; a brother, Robert K. (Beverly) Helton of Seymour, IN; grandchildren, Chelsea Laine (Sarah) Thomas, Riley Kate Billings, Erin (Justin) LeMaster, Rebecca Shyann Billings, Alycia Reah Billings, Kaylinn Lambert, Aubrey Lambert, Easton Billings, Mathew Billings; a great grandson, Jace Matthew LeMaster.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Larry J. Billings on February 21, 2017; brothers, Paul Helton Jr., Donald Helton, Ronald Helton and a sister-in-law, Theresa Helton.
