Thelma Mary Fox May 26, 2010 Thelma M. Shelton Fox, 91, of Flintwood Drive, died at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at her home. Mrs. Fox was a homemaker all her life and a care giver for many years. She loved her family and enjoyed her Christian home at Grace Lutheran Church. Her interests included gardening, cooking and square dancing earlier in her life. Arrangements were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Born June 26, 1918 in Medora, Mrs. Fox was the daughter of James and Fannie Durham Lawson. She married Charles Waldo Shelton April 29, 1945. Survivors include a son, Michael W. (Sally) Shelton of Columbus; a daughter, Sheryl E. Tracey of Columbus; grandchildren, Toby J. Stigdon of Hebron and James Andrew Hammond of Indianapolis; a great-grandchild, Chase R. Stigdon of Hebron; sisters, Jean Loesch of North Vernon and Rosie (Wilburn) Davis of Medora; sister-in-law, Mary Lawson of Medora, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Nancy C. Hammond; a brother, Warren Bud Lawson; and sisters Mildred Greathouse, Irene (Freeman) Rosenbaum and Bernice Robertson. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Armstrong officiating. CALLING: 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday.
