Dees, 65, of Columbus, died at 3:56 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Survivors include his wife, Karen Jeffries Dees; sons, David and Mike Holdeman, both of Union City, Indiana, and Jeff Beam of Kentucky; a stepson, Jonah Keen of Union City, Ohio; daughter, Jennifer Beam Plessinger of Ohio; a stepdaughter, Renee England of Columbus; a brother, Preston (Freda) Leslie Dees of Modoc; and sisters, Kathie Lucille (Lester) Langer of Greenville, Ohio, and Sarah Marie (Mick) Gordon of Lynn. He was preceded in death by a daughter, April Dees.
