Komen for the Cure through the funeral home. Timothy L. Burton, 58, of Bernice Street, died at 3:25 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015, at his home. Timothy was born January 12, 1957 in Columbus. Timothy was previously employed in the maintenance department for Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation. He was a NASCAR enthusiast, especially Ford racing, and loved his vehicles and going to car shows. Timothy also enjoyed shooting pool and fishing. He was very patriotic, thanking veterans that he would meet for their service. Timothy really loved his mother's cooking. He also loved spending time with his grandson and his nieces and nephews. Survivors include his mother, Betty L. Burns Burton of Columbus; son, Jarrad P. Burton of Columbus; daughter, Mandy Burton Fox, of Waymansville; brother, Dennis R. Burton of Columbus; sister, Sue Feller of Columbus; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul F. Burton.
