Timothy Wayne Acton, 52, of Columbus, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at his home. He was born on October 5, 1971. He was the husband to Amanda Dawn (Sanders) Acton, whom he shared 20 years with, and married on April 16, 2016. Tim loved fishing,deer hunting, playing cornhole, euchre, poker, being outside, and hanging out with his family, and friends, especially Tiffany and James Ogle. His favorite football team was the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he was an employee at Yard Art for 10 years, which he loved and missed the most after his first heart attack. Bess was a great employer and like a second mom to Tim. He is survived by his parents, XZYondra and Mike Hutt, of Seymour, IN; father, Ronald Dale Acton, of North Vernon, IN; wife, Amanda Acton, of Columbus, IN; children, Daniel (April) Miller, of Columbus, IN, Derrick (Emily) Acton, of North Vernon, IN, Matthew (Ciera) McInteer, of Columbus, IN, Brandon Blair, of Michigan; Shelby (Tylor) McInteer, of Columbus, Carlie (Jaden) Williams, of Columbus, IN, and Shannon (Tyler) Cook, of North Vernon, IN; brother, Kenneth (Deborah) Acton, of Columbus, IN; sisters, Tish (Mike) Dean, of Seymour, IN, and Stephanie Acton, of Bedford, IN; 9 grandchildren, and one due in June; Father-in-Law, Carl (Cheryl) Sanders, of Elizabethtown, IN; Brother-in-law, Jeffrey (Brinna) Sanders, of Columbus, IN; Sister-in-Law, Natasha Sanders, of Columbus; and 3 beloved dogs, Bandit, Maggie Mae, and Harley. The funeral service is at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Revival Tabernacle (4474 E 550 N, Clifford, IN 47226) with Pastor Eli Johnson officiating the service. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2024, at the church. Burial will be at Flatrock Baptist Cemetery. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Jewell Rittman for funeral expenses. Services were entrusted to the Jewell Rittman Family Funeral Home.
