FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Buterbaugh officiating. VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2013 and from 1 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. BURIAL: Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery. MEMORIALS: Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association. Troy Lee Bower, 50, of Indianapolis, formerly of Columbus, died at 3:31 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born in Salem, March 9, 1963, the son of Charles W. Bower and Georgia L. Sullivan Bower, both of Columbus. Troy was an avid Indiana University basketball, Indianapolis Colts and Boston Celtics fan, and especially liked Larry Bird. He loved spending time with his niece and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is survived by brothers, Scott W. (Kelly) Bower of Columbus and Brad E. (Shannon) Bower of Columbus; his grandmother, Mildred Bower of Salem; niece and nephews, Robert (Ariel) Bower of Georgia; Nadine Bower, Collin Bower, Nick Bower and Caleb Bower, all of Columbus. Troy is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roger Bower and Claude and Norma Sullivan.
