Twyla May Bishop December 11, 1932 - November 18, 2010 Twyla May Savage Bishop went to be with the Lord at 10:30 p.m. on November 18, 2010. She was born in Henderson, Michigan, December 11, 1932, to Eldon Henry and Flora Belle Munson Savage. She married Robert Vernon Bishop of St. Johns, Michigan, on September 28, 1952, and they made their home in Niles, Michigan, for 11 years. Twyla was involved in the Methodist Church and Girl Scout activities. After moving to Columbus, Indiana, in 1964, she continued church and community activities, serving on the Columbus Girls Club board and as secretary of the Regional Girls Club board. She was recently active in the Gideons Auxiliary and First United Methodist Church. She had been employed by Bartholomew County Schools. She liked sewing, crafts, travel and friendship, but family was her primary focus. Survivors include her husband, Bob; children, Marissa Bishop Kobylenski of Cupertino, CA, Scott Bishop of Gilbert, Arizona, Carolyn Bishop Kamo of Greenwood, IN, and Chris Bishop of Indianapolis; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and siblings, Valerie Savage Pierson of Minden City, MI, and Duane Savage of Pensacola, FL. Funeral Information FUNERAL: First United Methodist Church of Columbus, IN, on Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Brian Campbell officiating.
