  1. I met Vera and Basil through my parents – Don and Margaret Linneweber. It was love at first sight. Basil was going off on an Honor Flight. Very impressive without all the other impressive things that came with either of them. Vera was going to be on her own without Basil for one of the first times ever since they had been together. I was home visiting that weekend. There was an extra bedroom. We tried to get Vera to come stay with us, but no. My father passed away shortly after that. We moved my mother to the Sarasota area year round after that. It worked out that my husband and I were back in the Columbus area a few years later. We had to stop by when we drove by and all were out Met Shauna and husband that day. My husband and Basil went off to the basement to rummage around.

My mother passed away on June 30th. So sad to say goodbye to that generation.

Prayers to all the others who loved Basil and Vera!
