Victor David Ratliff
April 4, 1989 ~ May 24, 2023
Victor David Ratliff, 34, died on May 24, 2023, in Lafayette, Indiana. David was born on April 4, 1989, in Norfolk, Nebraska to the late Victor Michael and Cheryll Ratliff. David attended Pierce Elementary in Pierce, Nebraska, and later traveled with his family attending schools in Wisconsin, New York, and New Hampshire.
David had a very kind and giving spirit and always tried to make the best of everything. He easily made friends and was a joy to be around; had a smile that could brighten any room, and always tried to do his best in whatever task was given to him. David was the type of person that if you needed a helping hand, he would be there for you. David struggled for many years with drugs and alcohol, but he always had a hope that one day he would be able to overcome the addiction and live the life that God had set out for him.
David is survived by his mother, Cheryll Ratliff of Kokomo, Indiana; brothers, Mathew (Betty) Ratliff of Evansville, Indiana; Tim (Nicole) Ratliff of Wells, Maine; his sister, Aleshia Ratliff of Indianapolis, Indiana; his nieces, Ashley, Savannah, Leslie, and Quinlan and his nephew Matthew. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
David is preceded in death by an infant brother, Michael James, and his father, who passed away in January 2022.
The family would like to thank everyone who came into David’s life, prayed for him, gave him a chance, and unconditionally loved him.
In lieu of flowers, please find it in your heart to donate to Redeemed and Restored, 2010 Cadiz Rd, Hopkinsville, KY 42240, or another charity that seeks to support those struggling with addiction.

Very beautiful person to know he smiled at some of the hardest times in life and never let anything take that from him. He would take the shirt off his own back to warm a stranger he was a very special friend and considered famous I wish my little girl would’ve had her chance to meet Victor he was going to be uncle Vic. My love and condolences go out to his family.
