Vina Lee

Vina Stella Cross Lee, 84, of Columbus, died at 3:40 a.m., March 18, 2023, at Willow Crossing. Vina was born November 17, 1938, in Byrdstown, Tennessee, the daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Polly Holt Cross. Vina was a member of the New Vision Community Church of Columbus. She spent most of her early life in the state of Tennessee. Vina spent her early years in Tennessee before moving to Columbus. She worked very hard in various factories to provide for her children’s needs. Vina loved to cook and was excellent at doing so. She made the best cheeseburgers and casseroles. There was nothing like her mashed potatoes and salads. Her family loved her famous banana pudding recipe. A wonderful, loving mother and grandmother to many, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 24, 2023, with Pastor Wayne Lee officiating. Calling will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be made to the New Vision Community Church located on State Street in Columbus. Survivors include sons, Wayne (Patty) Lee of Columbus, Robert Lynn (Peter Traynor) Lee of Chattanooga, TN., and Kenneth Dale (Maria Rodriguez) Lee of Grammer; daughters, Anita Rose (Paul) West of Grammer and Sheila Diane (Steve) Perkins of Grammer; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings. Arrangements entrusted to Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
