Wanda Naomi Mejean
March 24, 1939 ~ September 25, 2020
Wanda Naomi (Mize) Mejean, 81, went to be with her Savior on September 25, 2020. She was a member of Freetown Apostolic Pentecostal Church for 12 years, and Glenlawn Apostolic Pentecostal Church in the subsequent years. Wanda was a homemaker who loved canning and gardening. Her hobbies were crocheting baby afghans, sewing crazy quilts and teddie bear quilts for her grandchildren.
Her passion was serving Jesus Christ. She often attended women’s prayer meetings at the Freetown Apostolic Pentecostal Church, while remaining faithful in services at the Glenlawn Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Seymour, where she played piano for many years. She also wrote and passed out many Bible studies over the years.
Wanda was preceded in death by her son Casimir Mejean; her grandson Joseph Mejean; her brothers Mike, Gary, and Kenny; her sisters Daisy, Bonnie, and Sharon; and her parents Homer and Fern Mize. She is survived by her brother Pat (Becky) Mize; a sister-in-law Patricia Mize; and her three daughters, Debra (Harold) Murphy, Carol Melloncamp, Lena (Tom) Roll; as well as her son John Mejean; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday September 29, 2020 at Freetown Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Freetown (6892 N. Hayes Ave., Freetown, IN 47235) with Pastor James Miller and Pastor Tim Brown officiating. Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of services Tuesday. Burial will be at Smallwood Cemetery in Brownstown, Indiana.
She will be sadly missed and forever loved.

I love this wonderful Saint of God. She taught me alot threw the years. She said I was like an adopted daughter. Help her home many of times home from church. I will treasure her memory forever. God blessed this woman in many ways. Fly high Wanda. Loved you dearly.
I’m so thankful God chose this dear lady to be my Grandma. I cherish the memories I have of her and will miss the Godly advice she would give me when I needed it most. I’ll love you forever Grandma! Now you’re celebrating your heavenly birthday!
