  1. Wayne was a wonderful part of my childhood. Thanks for sharing him with us Marjorie. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Crystal

  2. Wayne was such an amazing person! We all at Silver Oaks were blessed to have gotten to know him. He was always looking after all of us girls like a good role model. He had a wonderful sense of humor. He always made everyone laugh. He LOVED to sing. He would go around the building and sing to people.Everyone loved him. He was a man of many talents. He did anything he put his mind to. He was very independant. He always wanted to do things for himself. he always kept a positive outlook on life no matter what he went through. God just gained one of his best angels! He loved his family very much and appreciated everything they did for him. He told me this numerous times. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. God bless and take care.

  3. He was such a good man and we will miss him greatly. He and I have been really close buddies and I became his “adopted” daughter when my father died. We sang together, laughed together, cried together, worshipped together, travelled to Haiti often together. I could count on him like a father and he would be there for me. I’ll miss him greatly. While he was at Hospice and was very weak, I asked him if he remembered the blind man in Haiti who sang “What a day that will be” and he said yes. Together he and I sang “what a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see… when I look upon His face, the one who saved me by His grace. When he takes me by the hand and leads me to the promised land…….. what a day, glorious day that will be!” And he sang it perfectly and strongly. Then he closed his moistened eyes, and with a sureal look of peace on his face just grew silent for several minutes. It was a precious spiritual time. He was ready to go and is now healthy and whole in the presence of God.

  4. In the decades I knew him, Wayne was always generous in sharing his gift of encouragement. He always gave me a hug, looked me in the eye and told me he loved me. It is with a sharp mix of sadness and gratitude that I say goodbye to this great man.

  5. I have many wonderful memories of Wayne when he taught at the store, and remember how much he liked the music of Connie Francis. Our thoughts are with the family. Gary,Jr. & Sandy Davis

  6. Sorry to be tardy with our sympathy in the passing of Mr. Perry as we were out of state at the time. We know he is certainly singing in the heavenly choir not only with our Lord, Jesus, but our daddy. The buddies from Silver Oaks are all around the table once again. It was our joy to know him and were grateful that Daddy could have the companionship of such a good man. Tom and Becky Wilson, New Richmond, Ohio Ken and Claudia Schneider, Hanover, Indiana
