William C. "Bill" Meahan July 27, 1936 - July 06, 2009 William C. Bill Meahan, 72, of Hawcreek Boulevard died at 10:05 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2009, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Mr. Meahan retired from Smurfitt-Stone Container, where he worked more than 30 years, then worked at Dell Brothers for many years. He attended Flintwood Wesleyan Church and loved to bowl. Born in Grand Island, Neb., July 27, 1936, Mr. Meahan was the son of William C. and Beth I. Marvel Meahan. He married Ruthann Hooker Jan. 24, 1980. Survivors include his wife; sons, Rick Meahan of Missouri, Scott (Barbara) Meahan of Missouri and Shannon Meahan of Missouri; stepsons, Roger (Susan) Hornback of North Carolina and David Hornback of Columbus; a stepdaughter, Joawn (David) Seeley of Columbus; grandchildren, Megan (Jesse) Brown, Justin Hornback, Alisha (Zant) Chapelo, Micah Hornback, Kipper (Dana) Doran, Jaala (Tony) Travis, Kealy (Joe) Braughton,Jennifer(Steve) Kimbler,Jessica Hornback, Jennifer and Mona Meahan, Eric, Elizabeth and Melissa Meahan, Shawnna, Sarah and Michael Meahan; and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; several sisters; and a stepson, Jim Hornback. Funeral Information VISITATION:Calling will be from 11 a.m. until service time Friday, July 10, 2009 at Flintwood Wesleyan Church. FUNERAL: The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Flintwood Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Wesley Jones officiating. BURIAL: Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
