William Durward Wills, 95, of Columbus, IN, passed away Monday, July 23, 2012, at Hospice of South Central Indiana. He was a former resident of Arlington, TX. He was born in Burnet, TX, January 12, 1917, to the late William Vardie Wills and Lucy Frances (Huddleston) Wills. He married Laura Marie Gorden Austin Wills on April 7, 1961, and she preceded him in death on June 18, 2009. Mr. Wills retired from Lockheed-Martin in Fort Worth December 31, 1979, after 35 years of service as an aircraft hydraulics technician. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church of Grand Prairie, TX, and liked to play dominoes, travel, watch Bill Gaither videos and listen to country and southern gospel music. Mr. Wills is survived by a son, Edward L. (Beverly) Wills of Huntsville, AL; a daughter, Brenda J. (Russell) White of Scipio, IN; and a stepdaughter-in-law, Carol Austin of Spring Hill, FL. He also is survived by two brothers, Hudson (Charlotte) Wills of Rockwall, TX, and Joe Wills of Brady, TX; five grandsons, William C. Tuttle of Columbus, Dennis L. Tuttle of Scipio, Thomas J. Wills of Birmingham, AL, Edward L. Wills Jr. and Christopher Wills, both of Lubbock, TX; seven stepgrandsons, Jeff A. White of Versailles, IN, John D. White of Elizabethtown, IN, James A. White of Lafayette, IN, Paul D. White of Fairland, IN, Steven E. White of Greensburg, IN, Vance Corey of Carthage, NY, and Gabe Corey of Southern Pines, NC; two stepgranddaughters, Dana Hood and Keri Kenny, both of Spring Hill, FL; 39 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Wills was preceded in death by an infant son, Larry Lee Wills; a stepson, James H. Austin; and three sisters, Dessie Wills, in infancy, Eutha Herring of Kansas City, MO, and Leta Earnheart of Austin, TX.
