William F. Christian October 21, 1923 - December 07, 2006 William F. Christian, 83, of Road 550 North, Columbus, Ind., died at 11:45 p.m. Thursday, December 7, 2006, at Columbus Regional Hospital. William was a truck driver for Southern Transportation starting in 1945. He then was employed by Rittman Trucking, then retiring from A & H Trucking in 1984. After retirement, when not spending time fulfilling his love of fishing, he continued driving a truck out of Columbus, Indiana for Fab Trucking in Chicago, Ill. He was a lifetime member of Teamsters #135 in Indianapolis, Ind. Mr. Christian was born October 21, 1923 in Bartholomew County, Indiana, the son of John C. Christian and Mabel Frazze Christian. He married Mayme Ross on September 26, 1946. Survivors include his wife, Mayme Ross Christian; a daughter, Barbara (Gregg) Glessner of Evansville, Wis.; a son, William F. Christian Jr. of Columbus, Ind.; grandchildren, Jaime Ann and Zachary William Glessner; and a son-in-law, Mark Acton of Columbus, Ind. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Marsha D. Christian Acton; and sisters, Margaret Frazze and Betty Christian McQueen. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. VISITATION: Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, from 4 until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from noon until the time of services. BURIAL: Daugherty Cemetery.
