William H. "Bill" Hunter September 01, 1933 - January 21, 2010 William H. Bill Hunter, 76, of Columbus died at 9:55 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010 at the Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Care Facility. Bill was born Sept. 1, 1933 to Pete and Georgia (Stevens) Hunter in Columbus. He married Wanda Stillinger Hunter on October 2, 1954. Bill was a member of the First Christian Church. Bill graduated from Indiana University with a Masters Degree. He also received a Vocational Technical Degree from Indiana State University. Bill retired from Cummins Engine Company. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving from 1955 to 1957. Bill is survived by his wife, Wanda; sons Kim William Hunter of Hawaii, and Scott Hunter and Dirk (Tracy) Hunter both of Columbus; grandchildren, Ami Colleen (John) Hershberger, Joshua William (Cynthia) Hunter, Tyler Scott Hunter, Thomas Dirk Hunter and Jordan Wagner Hunter, four great grandchildren and a sister, Margarete Emmert of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lois Baker. Funeral Information SERVICES: A private family service will be held at a later date.
