William L. Edwards, 65, of 10th Street, died at 8 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2011, in Columbus.
Mr. Edwards graduated from Reddington High School in Michigan and then attended a local junior college in Detroit. He moved to Indiana in the early 1970s where he managed a Howard Johnsons. He also worked at Amos Plastics and Saps Buffeteria before retiring from Wonder Bread.
He enjoyed being outdoors, watching football and hockey and reading. Much of his time was spent with his Rottweiler, Maxx.
Born in Detroit, Mich., May 3, 1945, Mr. Edwards was the son of Walter and Mabel Wheeler Edwards.
He is survived by a son, Christopher (Amanda) Edwards of Columbus; stepsons, Jason Shipley of Greenwood and Jeremiah Shipley of Columbus; a grandchild, Davin Greenlee; and a dear friend, Mickey May.

A time of gathering will be held on Saturday, May, 7, at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
