William M. "Bill" Hall December 01, 1920 - December 10, 2007 William M. Bill Hall, 87, of Shelbyville died at 12:05 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at Heritage House of Shelbyville. Mr. Hall worked at the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. for 30+ years, retiring in 1983, and then worked at Bartholomew County Public Library retiring in 1998. He was an Army veteran of World War II and fought at Normandy. He enjoyed fishing, baseball and can hunting. Mr. Hall was born in Bartholomew County Dec. 1, 1920, the son of Gerald and Hazel Guynn Hall. He married Hilda B. Mitchell Feb. 12, 1948. She preceded him in death May 1, 2005. Survivors include a son, William W. (Dianna K.) Hall of Scottsburg; a daughter, Carolyn Sue (Earl N.) Smith of Taylorsville; grandchildren, Cindy Bloom of Columbus, Lisa Schrock of Florida, Brian Smith of Florida, Lori Driver of Columbus, Gary Smith of Columbus, Andrew Smith of Taylorsville, Steven Hall of Seymour and Teresa Rae Hayes of Scottsburg.; a sister, Elizabeth A. Wininger of Columbus; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, Ernest W., Charles L., Robert and Donald E. Hall; and a sister, Edith Marie Hall. Funeral Information VISITATION: Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2007 and from noon until service time Thursday. FUNERAL: The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Wright officiating. BURIAL: Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
