Wilma "Jeanie" Thurston April 15, 1936 - December 19, 2007 Wilma Jeanie Thurston, 71, of North Old Indiana 9 died at 4:39 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, in Columbus. Mrs. Thurston was a member of Columbus First Church of the Nazarene for more than 50 years. She and her husband helped form the Collectable Carnival Glass Association and she was editor of the associations newsletter. Mrs. Thurston was employed at CP Electronics for 12 years, Coca Cola Bottling Company and retired from Joslins Custom Wood Product. She enjoyed collecting butterfly pins. Born in Bartholomew County April 15, 1936, Mrs. Thurston was the daughter of Joseph and Frances Shelton. She married Paul James Thurston June 22, 1957. Survivors include her husband and a brother, Delvin Shelton of Rosstown. She was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters and one brother. Funeral Information VISITATION: Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2007 and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday. FUNERAL: The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Bryan Solomon officiating. BURIAL: Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
