Connie Lou Sexton, 76, of Columbus, died at 4:50 p.m. on April 17, 2026 at Willow Crossing Health & Rehab. Connie was born August 27, 1949, the daughter of Leonard and Christine (Phillips) Cook.

Connie enjoyed the simple things in life. She liked crafting, spending time outdoors, and searching garage sales and thrift stores for unique finds, especially Boyds Bears for her collection. She loved traveling when she could, with the beach being one of her favorite places. Connie was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Harrison Township Fire Department. She was known for her cooking and baking, always happy to share a homemade meal or treat with those around her. She will be remembered for her kindness and the quiet joy she found in the things she loved.

The funeral service for Connie will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Jewell Rittman Funeral Service and Crematory. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Rest Haven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association for Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

Connie is survived by her sons, Randy (MaryJane) Sexton and Ron (Brena) Sexton both of Columbus; sister, Marcia “Sparky” Wiltsey; brother, Mark Cook both of Columbus; grandchildren, Courtney and Alyssa Sexton; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Christine Cook; and brother Rick Cook.

Services were entrusted to Jewell Rittman Funeral Service and Crematory.
