She is survived by her husband, Bob Sisson; her daughter, Teresa (Doug) Waterman; her son, James Robert “Bobby” (Karma) Sisson; her sisters, Donetta Lee, Sandra “Bo” (Rick) Hull, Kathrine Burton, and Pamela; her grandchildren, Lorelie Stakely-Staggs, Cassy Sopha, Alissa Meyer, Alex Meyer, Zeke (Izzi) Waterman, and Brad (Mary Pearl) Waterman; Xander Sisson, Sapphire Wolf and her great-grandchildren, Gaby, Lilly, Nathan, Coraline, Benjamin, C. Cora spent many years working in retail stores, where her steady work ethic and kind manner were appreciated by coworkers and customers alike. Her career included time with Hills, Ames, and Goody’s, and she took pride in serving others with patience and care. She carried those same qualities into every part of her life, and she was known by those who loved her as Huggy Cora. She was a friendly, generous, and faith-filled woman.
Faith was an important part of Cora’s life. She was a member of Columbus Community Church and found strength and comfort in her beliefs. Her faith guided the way she lived, and it was reflected in the warmth she showed to others and the grace with which she met life’s joys and challenges.
Cora also enjoyed square dancing for many years, an activity that brought her happiness and lasting memories. She valued time spent with family and friends, and she especially treasured the moments shared with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her presence brought comfort and joy to those around her, and her love will remain a lasting part of the lives she touched.

My Aunt Cora was always the HUGGER of the Sisson family. She made it thru all the Sisson drama without choosing sides. I want to be just like her.
