Born in: Louisville, KY
Resided in: Seymour, IN

Edward “Jesse” Swindall, 52, of Seymour, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at St. Francis Hospital. Jesse was born in Louisville, KY on January 21, 1974 to William Tomblin and Margaret Swindall.

Jesse had a wide range of interests that reflected both his curiosity and his hands-on nature. He enjoyed whittling wood and could spend hours shaping something simple into something meaningful with his own two hands. He loved listening to music and appreciated the way a good song could set the tone for a day or bring back a memory. He was also a collector of skulls and knives, items that spoke to his unique taste and his appreciation for things with character and history. He had an eye for the unusual and a respect for objects that told a story.

He was also known as someone who could build anything. If something needed to be repaired, constructed, or figured out, Jesse was often the person others turned to first. He had a practical mind and a natural ability to understand how things fit together. Whether working on a project, solving a problem, or helping someone with a task, he brought skill and confidence to the job. His resourcefulness was one of the many qualities that made him dependable and admired.

Jesse enjoyed being outside and found comfort and satisfaction in the open air. He appreciated the simple things in life, including time spent outdoors where he could work, think, or just be still for a while. He had a rugged appreciation for the world around him and a way of making the most of whatever space he was in. He was not one to sit quietly for long, and he preferred a life that kept his hands busy and his mind engaged.

Those who knew Jesse will remember him as a jokester with a quick wit and a gift for talking shit in a way that was as entertaining as it was unmistakably his own. He had a way of teasing that could make people laugh even when they were trying not to. His humor was part of his charm, and it helped define the way he connected with others. Beneath the rough edges and playful sarcasm was a man who cared deeply in his own way and who showed his affection through presence, loyalty, and honesty.
