Jennifer “Jeni” Boyer Wilson

Jennifer “Jeni” Boyer Wilson, 67, passed away on August 10, 2026, at Our Hospice of Southern Indiana in Columbus, following a lengthy and courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. Her devoted husband, Mike, was by her side.

Jeni was born on March 22, 1959, to William D. and V. Maxine Boyer. On September 19, 1987, she married Mike R. Wilson, with whom she shared nearly 39 years of marriage.

Jeni was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, accomplished businesswoman, and a woman of remarkable strength and determination. She dedicated nearly 39 years to Boyer Machine & Tool Co., Inc. Beginning her career with the company as a secretary, Jeni worked her way through the ranks and served as Vice President at the time of her passing. She took tremendous pride in her work and in the family business she helped lead. Her strong work ethic, leadership, determination, and dedication earned her the respect of those who had the privilege of working alongside her.

While Jeni was proud of her professional accomplishments, her greatest joy was her family. She was the mother of Adrienne (Ryan) Harden and Ashley (J.T.) Glasgow and stepmother of Michael A. (Stormy) Wilson.

She was a proud and loving grandmother to Izzy Owens (Gage), Mazey Wilson, Zephyr Wilson, Nyla Palmer, Sophie Glasgow, Olivia Glasgow, Ruthie Sue Glasgow, and Rosalie Rae Glasgow. She shared an especially meaningful bond with her grandson Zephyr, whom she raised and loved as her own. Their relationship held a very special place in her heart.

Jeni was deeply devoted to her husband and treasured the life she and Mike built together. Their marriage was one of enduring love, commitment, and partnership. Through nearly four decades of marriage and all of life’s joys and challenges, their devotion to one another never wavered. Mike remained faithfully by her side throughout her illness and through her final moments.

Some of Jeni’s happiest times were spent surrounded by the people she loved. She treasured family trips, camping, time with her children and grandchildren, and simply being together. She valued making memories with her family and created countless traditions, stories, and moments that will be cherished for years to come.

Jeni was always willing to share in the things the people she loved enjoyed. She became a favorite concert companion to her daughter Ashley, always willing to attend a favorite band or artist simply for the joy of experiencing it together. Over the years, those concerts became treasured memories between mother and daughter. Seeing Elton John together was among their favorites and a memory Ashley will always hold especially close.

Jeni had an especially tender place in her heart for her beloved dogs, Phoebe and Astro. They were cherished members of her family and brought her tremendous happiness and companionship. She loved her puppies dearly and could often be found with one, or both, curled up beside her.

She also appreciated life’s simple pleasures, including spending time with her grandchildren, being surrounded by family, and enjoying a trip to Handel’s for ice cream.
Jeni was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Mike R. Wilson; her children, Adrienne (Ryan) Harden and Ashley (J.T.) Glasgow; her stepson, Michael A. (Stormy) Wilson; her grandchildren, Izzy Owens (Gage), Mazey Wilson, Zephyr Wilson, Nyla Palmer, Sophie Glasgow, Olivia Glasgow, Ruthie Sue Glasgow, and Rosalie Rae Glasgow; her sisters, Elizabeth Boyer and Lisa (Tom) Lutes; as well as many extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ruth and Russel Boyer and Ruth EuDaly; her aunt, Carol Carvin; her uncles, Jerry Carvin and John Boyer; and her father-in-law, Charles R. Wilson Sr.

Jeni will be remembered for her strength, determination, loyalty, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She worked hard for everything she accomplished and led by example throughout her life. From beginning her career as a secretary and rising to become Vice President, to raising a family and sharing nearly four decades of marriage with Mike, Jeni approached her life with purpose, perseverance, and an extraordinary capacity to love.
She leaves behind far more than professional accomplishments. She leaves a family profoundly shaped by her love and guidance, a lifetime of memories made together, and an example of strength, devotion, and determination that will continue through the generations that follow her.

Her absence will be deeply felt, but the life she built, the family she cherished, and the memories she created will remain a lasting testament to a life exceptionally well lived.
Jeni was deeply loved, will be greatly missed, and will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to call her wife, Mom, Grandma, sister, and friend.

Jeni’s Life Celebration® Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026, at the Jewell – Rittman Funeral Service & Crematory, 3855 25th Street, Columbus. Additional visitation will be on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Garland Brook Cemetery. Following the gravesides service, a lunch will be provided at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, which everyone is welcome to attend. Memorials may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
