Jonathan Allen Davis

jonathan davis

December 31, 1990 ~ July 27, 2026

Born in: Columbus, Indiana
Resided in: Columbus, Indiana

Jonathan Allen Davis, 35, of Columbus, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on the night of July 27, 2026. He was born on December 31, 1990, in Columbus, Indiana, to Randall Gene Davis JR of Columbus and Rhonda Davis (Palmer) of Carrollton, Kentucky. Grandfather Randall Gene Davis of Medora Indiana
Jonathan was raised with the help and guidance of his aunt, Sherry Davis of Columbus, who played a significant role in his life.
Jonathan leaves behind the people he loved most—his five children: Karmen Davis, Camden Davis, Aurora Davis, Cypress Davis, and Rowan Davis, all of Columbus, Indiana. His children were his pride, his joy, and the center of every plan he made.
He is also survived by his siblings: Todd Palmer of North Vernon; Joshua Davis (Shandra Davis) of Seymour; Preston Davis (Aimee Davis) of Columbus; Nicholas Davis of Columbus; Jayden Harcourt of Columbus; Elijah Collins of Indianapolis; Tanisha Davis (Evan Davis) of Indianapolis; and Kelsay Davis, the youngest, of Columbus. Jonathan also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who will forever carry his memory.
Jonathan lived life with a big heart and a restless spirit. He loved fishing, camping, playing poker, and being surrounded by groups of people, especially family when the time was right. He had a way of turning an ordinary day into an adventure—sometimes the kind you brag about, sometimes the kind you laugh about later. If things didn’t go as planned, he’d grin and say, “At least we got a story to tell.”
He was the person you could call in a moment of need. If he could help, he would—no hesitation. Jonathan carried a short fuse at times, but those who knew him understood it came from the depth of love he held in his heart.
Jonathan faced struggles throughout his life, yet he always had a plan, always believed he could make things happen, and always tried to push forward. He was taken far too soon, with goals left to accomplish and stories left to live.
Jonathan will be remembered for his loyalty, his humor, his stubborn determination, and the love he gave freely. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his memory will continue in the lives of his children, his family, and everyone who shared an adventure with him.
Jonathan is proceeded in death by great grandparents, grandparent, lots of aunts and uncles and cousins. He will truly be missed by everyone
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday August 5, 2026 in Jewell-Rittman Funeral Service and Crematory. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Garland Brook Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
