Nea Catherine White, 81, of Lantern Lane died at 9:45 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006, at Four Seasons Retirement Center.
Mrs. White was a 1942 graduate of Columbus High School and attended Franklin College. She was employed briefly in the accounting department at Cummins Engine Co., which she greatly enjoyed.
She was of the Methodist faith.
Born in Taylorsville June 8, 1924, Mrs. White was the daughter of Walter and Myrtle Ford. She married C.B. White June 8, 1947. He preceded her in death Dec. 11, 1997.

Nea White was my next door neighbor on Lantern Lane in Columbus Indiana when I was in the 5th & 6th grade. I would go over to her house almost every day to look at pictures and watch TV. She was an incredible lady who had lived all over the world and had many worldly items especially in her basement. I still think about how wonderfully kind she was to me. What a dynamic lady, I feel very lucky that she was my neighbor. if there’s a heaven she definitely there. They don ‘t come any better or nicer than Nea, RIP
