Patti L. Torre, 71, Columbus, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. Patti was born with her twin sister, Toni, on February 24, 1955, in Niagara Falls, New York, to the late Edward H. and Jeanne (Ruth) Torre.

A lifelong learner, she graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1973 and from Niagara County Community College with an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts in 1976. In 1978, she graduated from Mount St. Mary’s Hospital School of Radiology. She later earned a bachelor’s degree of Applied Science in 2020 from Siena Heights University.

Patti enjoyed a successful career in the medical field. She was employed at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center as an X-ray Technologist from 1978 until 1999. She moved to Columbus, Indiana in 1999 and became employed at Columbus Regional Hospital/Breast Health Center as a Mammography Technologist. Patti was known as the “gentle mammography technologist” and simply loved her job at CRH. She was also a Notary for the State of Indiana.

Patti loved animals, especially dogs and cats. She was proud of her home and took great pride in caring for it. Patti was an active and devoted member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church.

A special thank you to Our Hospice, the Columbus Regional Mammography & Radiology Department, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, and Dr. Samatha Fleckenstein for the wonderful care, treatment, and friendship, especially during Patti’s illness. Additionally, Patti’s dear friends, Lynda Huebschman, Jeanetta Marsh, and Pat Burton, will forever be remembered for their kindness and support.

Survivors include her brother, Donald E. (Sandra) Torre; twin sister, Toni L. (Savino) Torre-Gonzalez; nephew, Gabriel A. Torre; niece, Natalie A. (John) Degbor; great-nephews, Selasi Degbor, Zane Torre, and Duncan Torre; great-niece, Sienna Torre.
Friends and family will gather in the Narthex at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m., Monday, June 22, 2026 [1.2.1]. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. Patti will be inurned next to her mother later in Niagara Falls. Jewell-Rittman Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.

  9. I was Patti’s supervisor at NFMMC for 20 years. She was incredibly special and will be missed by so many. Patti was truly a light to everyone that knew her. RIP Patti. 🙏

  16. Patti and I worked together for a lot of years at the Breast health center. I had breast cancer 2 years ago. She help me so much when i was going through my procedure. Loved her.
