Rolland Marshall Fivecoat, 96, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully at home on June 25, 2026.

Born on January 22, 1930, in Columbus, he was the son of the late Ralph and Velma (Phumphrey) Fivecoat. Rolland was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeanette R. Fivecoat, on September 27, 2021.

Rolland proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Following his military service, he began his career as an engineer at Reeves. He later became the co-owner and operator of Parkside Lanes in Greensburg. For the past 33 years, Rolland was a fixture at his son’s store, Main Street Music, in Beech Grove. Blessed with a delightful sense of humor and an endless supply of stories, he was a wonderful addition to the retail environment and loved by customers.

He was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge, and the American Legion. A family man through and through, Rolland enjoyed playing euchre, sharing meals with family and friends, and visiting his son, Brian, at his home in Florida. Hosting annual Easter gatherings was a cherished tradition for Rolland and Jeanette, bringing aunts, uncles, and cousins together every year.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Jeanette, Rolland was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Robert Fivecoat.

Survivors include his two sons, Kim (Anita Wilson) Fivecoat and Brian (Mariela) Fivecoat; his granddaughters, Brandie Fivecoat and Lisa Ford; grandson, Johnathon Fivecoat;  and his special friend, Ginger Bloom, who he knew for many years and did many activities together.

A private graveside service will be held at Garland Brook Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest next to Jeanette. Funeral and cremation arrangements are being handled by the Jewell-Rittman Funeral Service & Crematory.  Memorials may be directed to the Bartholomew County Humane Society.
