Scott Allen Thompson, who was born on August 27, 1971, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and passed away on September 10, 2026, in Columbus, Indiana, will be remembered with love by all who knew him. Scott was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and a sense of familiarity to those around him.
Scott was the son of Claudette Grooms Thompson Barnett and the late William A. Thompson. He shared a meaningful bond with his family throughout his life, and his love for them was one of the defining parts of who he was. He is survived by his mother, Claudette Barnett; his brother, David Wayne Thompson, as well as his uncle, David Vogel, his aunt, Judy Duncan, and many cousins. Each of them held a special place in his heart, and he in theirs. His family loved him dearly, and that love was returned in the many ways he showed care, loyalty, and affection over the years.
Those who knew Scott will remember him as a passionate man who approached life in his own unique way. He had interests that brought him comfort and enjoyment, including watching true crime shows, playing video games, and enjoying sweets and junk food.
Though his passing leaves a profound emptiness, Scott’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
