Resided in: Columbus, Indiana

Sherry Ann Wagaman, 62, of Columbus, died at Columbus Regional Hospital at 6:17 a.m. on August 22, 2026. Sherry was born on March 31, 1964 in Columbus, the daughter of Norman and Judith (Foist) Spencer.

Sherry was a true certain people person with a strong mind, a stubborn streak, and absolutely no filter; she was always unapologetically herself. She was affectionately known as “Granny” to everyone, from the clerks at the corner store to her children’s friends, many of whom still visited her and had sleepovers even as adults. She loved spending time with her grandbabies and family, and she was known for baking peanut butter cookies for the kids during their sleepovers. In her free time, Sherry enjoyed watching soap operas, doing diamond art, and listening to Ozzy Osbourne and Kid Rock. Her love for family and her unforgettable personality will be deeply missed.

A private family gathering will be held at Jewell-Rittman Funeral Service and Crematory, followed by a cremation held at the Bartholomew County Crematory by Jewell-Rittman.

Sherry is survived by her children, Cassaundra Wagaman of Columbus, Christopher Pedigo, and Destiny Pedigo; brother, Craig (Lauren) Spencer of Mississippi; sisters, Marcia Bryant and Melissa Ryan, both of Columbus; grandchildren, Skyler Brock, Logan Foreman, Dakota Foreman, Serinity Watkins, and Joshua Hoover; and beloved dog, Gizmo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Judith Spencer and her beloved dog, Zoey.

Services were entrusted to Jewell-Rittman Funeral Service and Crematory.
